Campaign 3 Session 64

The party explores a haunted house, maybe to break a curse, maybe to enjoy an entertaining haunted house.
Summary

Face to face with the Beast and a rose monster, the party engages in combat. They manage to knock the beast out, but the rose monster absorbs him, becoming even more massive and dealing more damage. Eventually, they are able to defeat the massive monstrosity. Upon its death, it pops, and the house begins to collapse in upon itself. As the party flees the garden

The corpse, long dead, is wrapped by freshly-withered vines, a withered rose on a storybook on the desk before him. The creatures within defeated, the curse appears to be broken. The board notice has been signed, so they head back to the Adventurer Guild East to turn it in. The attendant helping them tells them that not many people can even see the notice. Previous clerics and priests had been unable to find anything amiss. There actually is a reward for completing the mission: ownership of the estate. The party accepts this, and returns to the airship to rest and regroup with Talthis.

Along with Talthis, the party heads to Eoghin's shop to set up the job board notice to rescue the remaining survivors in Auguste. He also offers a letter of introduction to another council member to help establish care for the children while they wait for their family to be rescued. After a brief shop, they head to Magister Halliver's estate and give her the letter from Eoghin; he is clearly calling in a favor, which infuriates her. She accepts her new mission, apologizing for her reaction, and gives them instructions for bringing them to the estate. Outside, Vera's raven friend arrives, questioning what business they had with her; he finds the situation hillarious and explains that she actually really loves children, so they will be in good hands. He accompanies them to their new house.
