It adds that he is a recluse who lives in the Drifting Tower, a tower plopped onto a Sky Elf ruin. His vaults are infamous for being a place for locking away people, places, and things. Vera spends time studying the wildlife in the area, picking up some new wild shapes: Quetzalcoatlus, Killer Whalem, Giant Octopus

Third day, Modrod appears with a report. Orestin Velaz, the finest bounty hunter in the winter kingdoms, has decided to go after Ward for his bounty. She is known for her persistence in her pursuit; she will not ambush him, but will instead make herself known. She has about a dozen warriors in her employ, the most dangerous of which is an illusionist named Corellin Tebin. Additional news: the duke has named an heir, a cousin Modrod doesn't remember. Not much is known about the cousin beyond his relationship to the duke.

Eck receives a letter from the mayor of the town beneath Snowcap's mountain, Astraea Hardin. It is written in broken Draconic with great attempts taken to observe politeness. They inquire as to what sort of tribute to offer to Snowcap. Snowcap has expresed to Eck that she doesn't know how to safely coexist with the town, as they hope for assistance that she is not interested in providing, but neither does she wish to subjugate them.

Around midnight the 25th, Meyrin full in the sky, a fog rolls in, and a large ship emerges. Six masts with tattered and shredded sails, a metal, demonic face on the bow of the ship, a single pale red lanturn visible as it seemingly intends to ram the airship. Several of the many canons fire harpoons at Walnut.
