Campaign 3 Session 80
The party is reunited with the rest of the Fourth Act, allowing them to begin their journey once again.
Summary
A storm is rolling in on the morning of the 15th, prompting Vera, Eck, and Ward to discuss weather in the Faewild. Eck and Vera decide that Ward must have a storm for an Ex.
The group arranges for rental of animals, a cart, and supplies for the animals. Potions are acquired, as well as supplies for the party themselves.
Luna finds Talthis to tell him about Meneldin and Tuna being around and is alarmed to find that he is speaking with Alibi and Tuna at a cafe—friends catching up. Alibi suggests Tuna properly introduce herself, and she reveals herself to be a changeling named Proxy. The Luna from this world was dead, and she had decided to take her place. Lyra has every kind of baggage, according to Proxy, and Meneldin sucks so bad, so she's just trying to help; Lyra is a good person. They part on good terms, as Proxy has only good intentions.
While taking a break from building the biggest, most expensive pillow fort, the party spies a lone figure in a brown robe approaching the palace. Soon after, an attendant fetches Dorean, as the guest is for her. Vera, nosey, goes with her. Standing in front of a fireplace drying out is Dr. Hayward. He wants to offer one last time to treat with Dorean, as Orologia is moving forward soon, and he expects their next encounter will result in the death of one of them. Dorean tells Vera to return to the others—which they do—and demands to know what he wants. Hayward points out that she is key to everything; and also he harbors some affection for her, and wishes to provide her warning that a storm is coming. He does not offer specifics, though does offer a "prudent topic of study": the true nature of the archangels. They created new races—such as the dragonborn—to fight for them. Orologia is following in their footsteps; the synthesis created to make Dorean is key to this. Before he can leave, Dorean asks if there are others like herself and Merely. He says that there is another like Dorean: Delta Three, which he prays she never meets. She takes time to have a panic attack before returning to her friends. She collpases into a pile of cushions, hoping to be consumed by them, but near her friends. She hears a keycard fall out of her pocket, presumably placed there by Hayward. A location is printed on it: "Cold Storage - Omega." Mira recalls that Hayward had given her the teleportation sigils to the cold storage containing Omega. They don't have much information about Omega, but know that if they don't deal with it now, they'll have to deal with it after it has killed people. They agree to spend a day gathering information and supplies before heading out to the Cold Storage to handle this. Ward spends the evening looking for information about the true nature of archangels. He locates a book titled The Host and the Choir.
