Campaign 3 Session 73
The party continues to fight in the Pit in Hullbreach.
Summary
"Things have gone from bad to 'uh oh'" for the Shards of Elpis Part One. The Astral Wanderer and Bestie featuring Hildibrand are their opponents, leading the audience to be confused, as they weren't supposed to be there that year. Eck solos Bestie, giving him the best day of his life. Hildibrand is slammed head-first into the ground by an explosion which effectively takes him out of the fight. Lucentia, mostly taking damage via injurred morale, ultimately leaves just before defeating Dorean dramatically.
Narci sings the Ballad of the Black Rider, which summons the eponemous black armored rider. They take out Narci quite quickly, a globe of darkness surrounding her in protection. Thea enters the blackness, and another entity emerges, a large woman with four arms. She is singing The Boy Trapped in Nightmare, summoning a large dragon to the field. They target the Thea and Narci entity before the dragon is able to unleash its ultimate attack. While Luna and Mira do a victory lap, Vera heals Narci and gives her a kiss, whispering "We need time," as they pull away.
After the fight, Narci asks Vera what they meant; Vera explains that they have a mission, and they need as much time before their next match as possible. Narci reveals that she has been working on songs for the Stargayzers and the Shards of Elips Part Two—though she can be convinced to name it Part Three. The songs produce nearly identical copies of the party, which she can use to fight their fights if they do not return in time.
Dihada offers some healing, and then teleports the group into a cavern.
